From omgubuntu.co.uk which has done it again with small linux stuff:
Modern smartphones are often dubbed ‘PC’s in your pocket’ but its the recently unveiled ‘Rasberry Pi’ that can truly make a stake to that claim.
The micro-sized PC, which is targeted at a £15/$25 price point, is made up of:
- 700MHz ARM11 processor
- 128MB of RAM
- USB 2.0 ports
- Card reader
- 1080p HDMI video out
- Ubuntu 9.04
And that’s it! You need to bring your own keyboard, mouse and display. Oh and Wifi dongle, too. But the Raspberry Pi does boast an I/O slot for further expansion – such as with a 12MP camera?
OK…. having Ubuntu 9.04, the same one that got me started into Linux I can accept, in acceptance to ignore all updates for operating systems might help. Maybe Arch Linux can be installed as well?
Add a steampunk (in my case, that’s me…) or modern casing and we’re set:
